It has lots of great pictures, easy to follow directions, and it includes recipes to make using the bread. Which is a fun bonus, I think.
This is a fantastic book – it’s like a textbook for baking bread, with a lot of great information on baker’s math and proper baking techniques, as well as explanations of the science behind bread. The author’s goal is for home bakers to understand the fundamental process behind baking bread, and to develop the key skills to be able to try and create your own recipes and bread variations. It’s great.
